CPAC Level 3 :
General Pipeline Construction Inspector to the
CSA Z662-15 and API 1169 criteria for Oil and Gas Systems
To achieve this Certificate of Qualification applicants are required to pass a supervised examination. The intent of the examination is to verify the applicants knowledge and understanding of, and/or ability to use:

Applicants will be provided copies of the applicable Z662 and API 1169 sections for use during the exam. Any reference publications required for this exam will also be provided. No external documents are permitted to be used for this exam. Electronic devices are not permitted to be used during the exam.
Equivalencies:
Applicants in possession of a CPAC “Level 1: Basic Concepts and Content for the CSA Z662-15 Oil and Gas Pipelines Systems” or a CPAC “Level 2: Pipeline Inspection Concepts and Requirements for CSA Z662-15 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems” qualification, and a current dated API 1169 qualification certificate may apply for this CPAC Level 3 qualification under the equivalent qualification recognition program.
Prerequisites:
Applicants must possess a CPAC “Level 1: Basic Concepts and Content for the CSA Z662-15 Oil and Gas Pipelines Systems” or a CPAC “Level 2: Pipeline Inspection Concepts and Requirements for CSA Z662-15 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems” qualification in order to write this examination. Training from industry publications and information sessions, online training courses, and lecture series may also be suitable pre-study. Exam questions may include some Z662 concept questions.
