Important Qualification Renewal Information
Certificate Renewal Requirement Extended to June 30, 2021

Dear Pipeliner Employers,

The Canadian Pipeliner Accreditation Council is requesting you to accept CPAC code qualification credentials issued against the 2015 edition of the CSA Z662 until June 30, 2021.

As you are aware, the CPAC code qualification program is structured to require members to renew and update their credentials within 1 year (365 days) after a new Z662 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems publication. The 2019 edition of the CSA Z662 was published in June of 2019. Normally, credential holders would need to meet their obligations by June 30, 2020.

CPAC, in conjunction with international accreditation requirements, has undertaken to update its membership program in conjunction with a management system, with restructuring and implementing a web services update and system migration.

This work was scheduled to be complete by March 31, 2020. Due to unforeseeable circumstances, including but not limited to the COVID-19 virus disruption, the completion of this work had experienced delays. The process for renewal is now automated, and fully available online however a number of our members have experienced other significant challenges related to COVID restrictions.

In order to allow certificate holders additional time to renew their membership and complete the required code update examinations, we request employers to recognize CPAC issued qualification, citing the 2015 edition CSA Z662 until June 30, 2021.
