FAQ
Q. I paid for a code exam. Do I also have to pay for a membership?
A. No. If you applied directly to write a code qualification examination it is included your initial membership. If you apply for membership first, it includes your first code qualification exam.
Q. I have 3 CPAC qualifications. Do I have to pay 3 renewals to get them updated to the new code?
A. No. The code update examination is included in your membership renewal. On successfully completing the examination, all previously issued credentials will be updated to the new code edition.
Q. Why is the renewal fee for 2023 more than the price of 2019 code cycle.
A. The membership fees and renewals are based on the code qualification costs. Fees are typically announced several years in advance. Due to several factors, including previous freezes specific to membership year, program audit recommendations and Membership program clarifications, the 2019 cycle renewal fee was reduced from $400 to $250 in order to have a single fee that would meet all recommendations and commitments.
